Innovation, Technology, Resourcefulness, and Creativity in American History

7th grade student’s in Mr. Egan’s classes are studying innovation, technology, resourcefulness, and creativity throughout American history. Each student was assigned a particular time in history to research. Abby’s paper about resourcefulness on the home front during World War 2 is a particularly good example of student writing.

After the research paper, students made a plan for how to build a working model, gave the steam managers their shopping lists, then came to the Steam Lab to make it. Projects include Abbey’s victory garden, in addition to planes, phones, light bulbs, computers, trains, and so many more great American inventions!
