It’s the year of the dog, and the whole school is celebrating Chinese New Year!
To make it even more special, students in Ms. Zhu’s classes took 2 weeks to build a dragon for the Chinese New Year Middle School Assembly in addition to hosting Chinese exchange students!
First, Mrs. Zhu came to the Lab with a vision (skip ahead to 1:45).
I found this incredibly helpful video online about How to make a Chinese Dragon.
Then the students made a plan and got to work!!
We substituted many of the materials for ease of use (like hula hoops instead of PVC piping for the ribs).
It took a lot of hard work- but it turned out really great!!
