Visiting Artist Fahamu Peacou

In the weeks leading up to the Innovation Faire, Fahamu Peacou will be coming to Westminster! He is scheduled to work with art classes and inspire us at a few Assemblies. Some of his paintings can be viewed in Broyles Art Center, and Here is a WCAT student interview. Be sure to check it out!

Robotics In-House Competition

On Tuesday afternoon, the robotics team had an inter-squad meet.   Two teams were in 1st place after the in-house competition: team 6199E (Gideon Zemedhun, Willem Mandel, Augie Bunting, and Tejas Kadadi; and team 6199G (William Ivansco, Rohit Ramineni, Esfan Daya and Brandon Hwang).

Vacuum Forming Machine

There is a new machine in the lab: a Centroform Vacuum Forming Machine. We believe that our main users will be the Shark Tank students, but are looking for other great applications.   We had a lot of fun testing it out today!

Oculus Go

Oculus Go has joined the list of lab materials ready for testing and check out by the teachers. Thus far, World Religion teachers have shown the most interest in using this VR tool to enhance curriculum, so we are on the hunt for great, immersive religious experiences on the web. Christmas Gifts

The final exam finished at 10:30am today. While many of the teachers evacuated the halls, more excited than the students for a family-filled Christmas break, the lab was abuzz with faculty working on last minute, hand made gifts.   3D art, to ornaments, to personalized cups; it was a lot of fun!
